Test
Just as he stepped into the elevator, Yang Ling suddenly felt an itch on his neck. With a casual slap, a mosquito was killed on the spot.
“Ding, you crushed the mosquito’s wish to suck blood. Attribute Point +1.”
“Huh? Even that counts?”
Yang Ling was startled at first, then burst into laughter. If he just ran around slapping mosquitoes, wouldn’t he have an unlimited supply of Attribute Points?
The thought had barely formed when the System’s voice rang out in his mind: “Ding-dong. You can only obtain a maximum of 2 Attribute Points daily from non-human creatures.”
Yang Ling laughed bitterly. The System really was a pit.
While still in the elevator, he casually helped an orderly move a hospital bed, earning another point of Wish Value. By the time he walked out of the inpatient building, the sky had turned completely dark.
He strolled to a small park within the hospital grounds. Seeing no one around, he opened his Attribute Panel.
He currently had three Attribute Points. Hoarding them was meaningless, so after a brief hesitation, he allocated 1 point to Strength and 2 points to Agility.
His current panel was as follows:
Host: Yang Ling
Strength: 9
Agility: 12
Constitution: 10
Charisma: (Not Activated)
As the allocation finished, a warm current flooded through his limbs and bones, bringing an indescribable comfort.
Taking a deep breath, he picked up a few pebbles from the ground and hurled them with force!
“Ding, Throwing Mastery skill activating.”
Bang!
With a muffled thud, the pebble accurately smashed into a thumb-thick tree branch nearby, causing it to sway violently.
Yang Ling felt a mix of joy and worry. The pleasure came from the fact that Throwing Mastery was indeed magical, 100% accuracy. The worry was that his strength was insufficient; he couldn’t even snap a tree branch.
People always want to climb higher, to become stronger, and Yang Ling was no exception.
He was just pondering whether he should add more points to Strength in the future when a man’s voice suddenly drifted from not far away.
“Yo, I come to visit a relative and run into an acquaintance. Isn’t this Yang Ling?”
“Playing in the mud this late at night?”
Yang Ling frowned. He turned around, only to be slightly stunned.
The visitors were a man and a woman. The man was in his twenties, dressed respectfully, of decent height and good looks.
The woman was about 18 or 19, wearing a long dress with her hair cascading down. Her appearance was pure and sweet, a rare beauty.
At this moment, the young woman was looking at Yang Ling with an awkward expression. After a moment of hesitation, she greeted him, “Yang Ling, long time no see.”
Yang Ling sighed inwardly.
This beautiful girl was named Fang Yuwei. She had been his girlfriend in high school.
Unfortunately, in their senior year, she abandoned him to become the girlfriend of a rich second-generation.
Propelled by money, she finally got her wish and entered Donghua University, the province’s top university and ranked third in the country.
The young man beside Fang Yuwei was her wealthy boyfriend, Tian Zhaoyan, the son of the Chairman of the Tian Group. Rumour had it that their family assets reached three billion.
Yang Ling looked at Fang Yuwei in silence. Beneath his calm expression, his gaze flickered slightly.
Seeing his ex-girlfriend again, his heart was a tangle of mixed emotions. After a moment of silence, he simply nodded slightly as a greeting, then turned to walk away.
Fang Yuwei watched Yang Ling’s retreating back, a look of gloom flashing across her face.
Beside her, however, Tian Zhaoyan’s face sank. He had spoken to Yang Ling, yet this kid dared to ignore him?
He felt insulted.
“Stand still!”
Tian Zhaoyan shouted lightly. Sure enough, Yang Ling stopped, turned around, and looked at him calmly. “What? Do you need something?”
