After saying that, he packed up the medical kit and turned to leave the bedroom.
Ye Yin looked at the contraceptive pills on the table and let out a helpless sigh. She picked up her pajamas and put them back on, the doubts in her heart growing heavier by the second.
She walked to the doorway and called down the hallway, “Aunt Zhang, come here for a moment.”
Before long, Aunt Zhang hurried over and asked respectfully, “Miss, what can I do for you?”
“I want to ask—who came out of my room this morning?” Ye Yin leaned against the doorframe, doing her best to keep her tone calm, though the fingers gripping the frame tightened unconsciously.
Aunt Zhang thought for a moment, then quickly replied, “There was a man who looked fair-skinned and clean, very gentle-looking, wearing a white shirt. He left a little after eight in the morning.”
“Fair-skinned and clean?” Ye Yin frowned, muttering to herself. Wasn’t the original owner of this body completely fixated on Si Jinghuai?
Could it be that she’d secretly kept a pretty boy on the side? Not finishing the novel really was a disaster!
Before she could sort out her thoughts, Aunt Zhang continued, “There was also Young Master Si—Mr. Si Jinghuai. He left around eight thirty. He was wearing a black shirt, and the buttons weren’t even fastened…”
“Si Jinghuai?!” Ye Yin’s voice shot up instantly.
It was like being struck by lightning—her whole body stiffened. “You’re saying… two people?”
She couldn’t believe her ears. Si Jinghuai—the man who hated the original owner to the point of wanting her torn apart, who found her utterly repulsive—how could he have come out of her room?
And with another man, no less?
Seeing Ye Yin’s intense reaction, Aunt Zhang nodded quickly, her tone firm. “Yes, Miss, absolutely. The gardeners trimming the flowers in the courtyard and the cleaning aunties all saw it. No one dared say anything.”
“This is insane…” Ye Yin pressed a hand to her forehead, feeling like her head was about to explode. “Then who exactly was the one who came out first—the fair-skinned one?”
Aunt Zhang thought again, then suddenly her eyes lit up. “Oh, right, Miss! That man looked a lot like someone in your high school photo album—the boy named Lu Bai!”
“Lu Bai?!” Ye Yin was completely stunned and had to lean against the wall just to stay standing.
Lu Bai—the man who, like Si Jinghuai, regarded Jiang Rou as his white moonlight; who had repeatedly warned the original owner not to hurt Jiang Rou, even threatening to bankrupt her family?
These two men, both of whom loathed the original owner and were devoted to Jiang Rou—how could they have appeared here at the same time, and even… even with her… oh my god…?
Ye Yin grabbed her hair hard, trying to dig out some clue from the original owner’s memories, but her mind remained a chaotic blank. She couldn’t remember anything at all.
“Stupid brain! Think already! What on earth happened last night?!” Ye Yin knocked lightly on her own head.

K Group Headquarters
Si Jinghuai sat in the leather chair in the top-floor office of K Group. The pressure radiating from him was terrifying. His fingers had turned a cold, bluish white from clenching them too tightly.
The documents spread out before him had been opened for a while, yet he hadn’t taken in a single word. His mind was filled with the chaos and humiliation of last night’s cruise party.
—That hadn’t been an accident. It had been a complete and deliberate setup.
Last night’s business gala had been held on a private cruise ship, where elegant glamour concealed countless exchanges of利益 and favors.
After dealing with several waves of partners, he stepped onto the deck for some air, only to be handed a glass of champagne by a seemingly harmless young lady from a partner family.
He was usually cautious, but since she’d been introduced by an elder and the champagne tasted normal, he didn’t think much of it.
Less than half an hour later, however, a burning, abnormal sensation surged through his limbs. His head grew heavy, his body heated uncontrollably, and even his vision began to blur.
He realized it instantly—
He’d been drugged.
