The game League of Legends was popular all over the world; a high rank was not just capital for bragging, but could also lead to making money by going professional or starting a stream.
Being able to carry a cute girl in a duo queue also had plenty of benefits.
Yang Ling smiled faintly. “Is your skill really that good?”
Chu Siyin patted her small chest and said proudly, “I’m a Master rank player on the Canyon of Kings. People call me the Number One Female ADC.”
Yang Ling’s heart stirred. “Canyon of Kings? Does that mean you frequently encounter professional players?”
“Of course!”
Chu Siyin giggled. “Hurry up and set up your computer. I’ve already told my audience tonight that I’m doing a duo queue with a guy!”
Yang Ling smiled slightly. He possessed Gaming Mastery; if he could not transform this skill into profit, it would truly be a useless waste of a skill.
A plan formed in his mind, and he nodded. “Fine. I happen to have an account on the Canyon of Kings as well. I’ll play a few matches with you.”
Next came a series of steps: installing the computer, downloading the game, and setting everything up. By the time he was finished, it was exactly nine o’clock.
‘Ding! You have fulfilled Chu Siyin’s wish to duo queue. Wish Value +1. Current progress: 5/10.’
He connected to the voice chat with Chu Siyin from his own room. After testing the audio, he opened the streaming platform and found the young girl’s stream.
Her popularity was average, but there were quite a few bullet comments.
Unexpectedly, while they were testing the mics earlier, Chu Siyin had already started the stream. Now, all sorts of bullet comments about him were appearing on the screen.
“Yinyin, this little brother’s voice is so nice! Does he have a room number?”
“The voice is nice, but he’s definitely a noob!”
“Waaaah, our Yinyin is being snatched away.”
“I hope they run into a pro player who can crush this pretty boy!”
There were all kinds of bullet comments, but most of the people in the stream were men who had come for Yinyin’s looks. They were clearly hostile toward him.
If they knew he was living under the same roof as this beautiful streamer, he wondered how the bullet comments would react.
They successfully entered the champion selection screen. At that moment, someone in the bullet comments suddenly leaked that the enemy bot lane were professional players!
Chu Siyin was startled. After checking, she let out a wail of despair.
“It’s over. The other side is the smurf accounts of PT’s bot lane duo, Juan Lang and A Gua. I’ve got a little noob with me in the bot lane; this game is a wash…”
The reaction in the bullet comments was also spectacular. Messages like “GG” or “Dodge now” were common.
Quite a few people were already impatient to see the scene of Yang Ling being brutally slaughtered.
Right then, the System’s voice rang out in Yang Ling’s mind:
‘Ding! Gaming Mastery skill activated!
The corner of his mouth curled up. He hadn’t expected to encounter professional players in the very first match; this was an unexpected surprise.
They soon entered the game. The enemy bot lane consisted of two professional players on smurf accounts. They didn’t seem to take players at this rank seriously, directly choosing a “for fun” aggressive combo of Pantheon and Jarvan IV.
But a master was a master; even if they were just playing random champions, they weren’t someone a person at this rank could contend with.
Chu Siyin selected her best champion, Caitlyn, while Yang Ling picked Cho’Gath as a support.
This made the audience watching the stream nearly die of laughter.
A Cho’Gath support? He’d be out of mana after missing a few Qs, and his ability to protect the ADC was mediocre at best. Against the enemy’s violent duo, wouldn’t they just be hung up and beaten?
Sure enough, the bot lane was fine at Level 1, but once they reached Level 2 and Jarvan IV had his EQ combo, the situation began to turn disadvantageous.
