Synopsis
Jiang Ling and Jiang Yuhan are both reborn.
In their previous lives, Jiang Ling married a handsome educated youth who had been sent down to the countryside, while her cousin Jiang Yuhan married a cold-faced, tough soldier who had returned to the village after being discharged due to injury.
Later on, Jiang Ling helped her husband seize the opportunities of the times, earning immense wealth and eventually becoming the richest man in the country—someone everyone envied.
Meanwhile, Jiang Yuhan’s life after marriage was mediocre at best. Her husband, injured and lame, also suffered from hidden health issues. Consumed by jealousy toward her cousin, she schemed and ended up having an affair with Jiang Ling’s husband.
After discovering the truth, Jiang Ling stabbed her husband in retaliation—but was pushed into the sea by the adulterous pair. Fortunately, as she fell, she grabbed onto her cousin and dragged her down with her.
After being reborn, Jiang Yuhan rushed ahead to cling to the educated youth who came to rescue them, eagerly waiting to become the wife of the future richest man.
Jiang Ling, on the other hand, married the lame, cold-faced tough man.
She originally thought their marriage would be distant but respectful—yet after marriage, the man completely transformed into a devoted, loyal husband. He could handle both social occasions and housework, and he handed over all his wages.
Lame leg? She can cure it.
Hidden illness? She can cure that too.
Jiang Yuhan thought that by marrying the educated youth, she would live a life of comfort without worries.
But who would have expected that the man was lazy and incompetent, barely earning any work points—let alone becoming the richest man in the future?
Meanwhile, Jiang Ling’s husband was no longer lame, nor cold and distant—he doted on her endlessly.
Who says Shen Xie isn’t capable?
He’s more than capable.
