Chapter 14: Making Friends

Luo Nanchu encountered Qin Ge again at a bar.

The bar had recently opened.

Filled with young people, the atmosphere was vibrant.

Qin Ge spotted her in the crowd at first glance.

This young woman stood out excessively, her aura cool yet tinged with vitality.

Luo Nanchu’s gaze met Qin Ge’s across the room.

Qin Ge, an experienced drinker, recognized them all immediately.

She felt that drunkenness helped her forget much unhappiness.

They clinked glasses tacitly.

A tall man walked by.

He carried a restrained aura, dressed in a crisp suit, shirt and trousers impeccably tailored, topped with a black overcoat.

His features were sharp, with deep-set brow bones.

Qin Ge keenly noticed the woman beside him.

The woman’s outfit harmonized with his, almost like couple’s wear.

Luo Nanchu instantly deduced that Qin Ge had history with this man.

He and Qin Ge exchanged a glance.

The man’s gaze lingered on Qin Ge.

The man gave a slight nod and walked off indifferently.

Luo Nanchu detected the underlying tension between Qin Ge and him.

No, it was more like tension among three people.

A man leaning lazily against the second-floor railing watched this scene.

Lu Zheng couldn’t resist commenting.

“Old Nian, since Qin Ge’s been so cold to you, do you think she’s turned gay?”

“There aren’t any men around her at all.”

Nian Sishi froze for a moment, then curled his lips into a smile.

Lu Zheng added, “Probably got hurt by you.”

“So now she’s too scared to date men, completely disappointed in males, and switched to liking women instead.”

Nian Sishi was afraid Lu Zheng might be right.

If there were any men around Qin Ge, he could still compete for her attention.

But if it were a woman, that would mean she’d never look at him again in this lifetime.

“Don’t worry, that girl is Nan Chu’s sister.”

Lu Zheng took out his phone and snapped a photo of the two women below.

Nian Sishi’s brows furrowed deeply.

“What are you taking pictures for?”

After taking the shot, Lu Zheng spun his phone in his palm before pocketing it, whistling casually.

“Just documenting your future showdown with Fu San, buddy.”

“See, according to my calculations, those two girls down there will become obstacles for you and Fu San.”

“To put it simply romantic trials.”

A crisp sound of someone being flicked on the head.

Fu Hansheng stood tall behind Lu Zheng.

He let out a cold laugh.

“I wasn’t aware my obstacles were downstairs.”

“Maybe you should calculate when your next trial will be?”

Lu Zheng rubbed his head.

“My bad, buddy.”

Fu Hansheng and Nian Sishi exchanged smiles.

The three men walked into the private room.

Lu Zheng sprawled carelessly on the leather sofa.

“I got us SVIP here. Nice environment, good soundproofing too.”

Lu Zheng owned a bar himself.

Fu Hansheng raised an eyebrow.

“Quite generous of you.”

“Taking good care of your competitor’s business.”

Lu Zheng didn’t mind these things with bars, if they made money, it was fine.

He wasn’t like Fu Hansheng, who had to be the absolute best in everything, leaving everyone else in the dust.
