Yao Hongtao fell even faster—and more easily—than Xue Panpan.
It wasn’t just his long-term abuse of female celebrities, which alone constituted serious criminal behavior. His company was also involved in tax evasion, bribery, and the production of non-compliant products.
Since he wasn’t actually part of the entertainment industry, netizens showed little interest in his business crimes—aside from saying “he deserved it” and “good riddance.”
But one charge caught their attention:
“Twelve years of systematically preying on multiple female celebrities.”
At first, people hadn’t made the connection. But once they saw the charge alongside the name, many netizens suddenly remembered.
Wasn’t this the same wealthy businessman who, not long ago, had accused rising star He Yanzi of seducing him and knowingly becoming a mistress?
Soon after, evidence exploded online showing that Han Jingyun—the chief organizer of the fashion gala—had colluded with Yao Hongtao. At that high-profile event, the two of them had openly targeted He Yanzi and drugged her.
The evidence was overwhelming:
full surveillance footage from start to finish, recorded conversations between Han Jingyun and Yao Hongtao, and complete audio recordings of Yao Hongtao cornering and harassing He Yanzi throughout the banquet.
Every detail was crystal clear. There was no room for denial.
Netizens were furious beyond words.
They had wronged He Yanzi.
All of it was the fault of that human-faced beast, Yao Hongtao.
He Yanzi was a top-tier celebrity—immensely famous—and yet he still dared to go after her. If she hadn’t fought back with everything she had, he would have succeeded.
Even so, she was slapped across the face. She was dragged around outside the banquet hall while countless people watched, mocked her, and pointed fingers.
In the end, she was smeared as a home-wrecker who seduced a married man.
People couldn’t even bear to imagine what would happen to those unknown newcomers—girls with no fame or backing—who entered the entertainment industry full of dreams and then encountered Yao Hongtao.
He had been doing this for over a decade.
How many lives had he ruined?
The thought alone made people shudder.
After Yao Hongtao was arrested, his company collapsed almost overnight.
His wife—and those who had once helped her beat up alleged “mistresses”—were all brought to account as well.
Yao Hongtao had been married for many years and had two sons. His wife had long known exactly what kind of man he was. She also knew that the female celebrities he targeted were innocent victims.
Yet she never blamed the man.
She never considered divorce.
Instead, she constantly cursed the abused girls as shameless sluts who seduced her husband—and always directed her rage at “mistresses.”
She even paid to maintain a team whose sole purpose was to accompany her in beating them.
The attack on He Yanzi in the underground parking garage had been organized by Yao Hongtao’s wife and that very team.
Yao Hongtao was arrested.
The Yao family collapsed.
His wife originally planned to divorce him quickly, preserve part of the assets, and take her two sons away to live quietly.
But once Huo Junfeng intervened, she didn’t have time to transfer a single cent.
All assets under her name were frozen, awaiting the final verdict—compensation where compensation was due, fines where fines were owed.
In short, the Yao family would be left with nothing.
They would also be saddled with enormous debt.
They would never recover in this lifetime.
After Yao Hongtao’s wife took her two sons to visit him in detention and learned how severe the final sentencing would be, the three of them walked down the street in a daze.
They were suddenly surrounded by a crowd.
Fists and feet came crashing down like a storm.
“You’re not human! You knew your husband drugged my daughter. When we called the police, you blocked us and transferred money, claiming my daughter was selling herself! You even stripped her clothes and humiliated her in every possible way! My daughter was so devastated she tried to kill herself—we barely talked her down! She’s still in a psychiatric hospital! The daughter we raised with so much love was destroyed by you shameless monsters!”
“Give me my daughter back!”
“Zheng Cailing, five years ago didn’t you say your husband liking my daughter was her blessing? Didn’t you say she deserved to die? Now Yao Hongtao’s been arrested—if he gets executed, that’s exactly what he deserves! He should’ve died long ago! You should be executed too! All the evil you’ve done—your whole family deserves to be wiped out!”
Zheng Cailing tried to fight back while shielding her two sons, but she was quickly kicked to the ground. She curled up, clutching her head, completely powerless.
All three were beaten until they were bloody and broken. Even when the police arrived, they struggled to control the enraged crowd.
At first, some bystanders had tried to intervene, seeing a mother and two children being attacked.
But once they learned these were the wife and sons of the scumbag Yao Hongtao—an entire family complicit in bullying powerless girls—
They joined in, spitting on them.
When the police finally managed to pull them away, some people, afraid they wouldn’t get another chance, viciously kicked them a few more times before letting them be taken away.
Huo Junfeng saved Han Jingyun for last.
First, because she truly was capable.
Second, because her family did possess some power.
But under the assault of the Huo Group—a colossal force—it was only a matter of time before she fell.
Huo Junfeng was like a mad dog.
He ignored all pleas and mediation, sparing no cost in his determination to destroy the Chu family.
At first, he only intended to dismantle the company Han Jingyun had built and the projects she controlled.
But when the Chu family intervened to protect her, he turned his attack on the entire Chu family.
His scorched-earth, mutual-destruction approach terrified them.
No matter how powerful the Chu family was, they couldn’t compare to the Huo family of the capital—an enormous dynasty with three generations embedded across military, business, and political spheres.
Han Jingyun was outstanding among her generation.
But she wasn’t irreplaceable.
Under Huo Junfeng’s relentless assault, she quickly became a disposable piece.
Once the Chu family abandoned her, the company she had built from scratch and the projects she held were utterly defenseless before Huo Junfeng.
Her company collapsed.
All projects were halted.
She faced astronomical compensation claims.
Han Jingyun lost her confidence, composure, and pride.
Haggard and broken, she finally sought out Huo Junfeng.
“What exactly do you want?” she asked.
Huo Junfeng didn’t even look up. His presence was dark, his voice vicious.
“Give Yanyan back to me.”
She screamed hysterically, “I told you—the explosion wasn’t my doing!”
Huo Junfeng replied with only one sentence:
“Give Yanyan back to me, and I’ll let everything you’ve done go.”
But he knew perfectly well—
He Yanzi was already dead.
She could never come back.
Han Jingyun could never give He Yanzi back to him.
Her eyes turned red.
“She’s dead! He Yanzi is dead—blown to pieces, nothing left—ugh!”
Her words were cut off as the enraged Huo Junfeng seized her by the throat, crushing the sound from her lungs.
“Shut up,” he snarled.
“Yanyan will not die.”
