The phrase “guaranteed to crash when driving” seemed tailor-made for Jinian.
And everyone familiar with her knew this inevitable habit!
So for Jinian, who currently only wanted to keep a low profile, driving to school would be too conspicuous – who knew where she might accidentally crash next?
For this reason, Jinian specifically found an apartment near school and dutifully walked to campus every day.
On a new morning, just as she reached the school gate, a high-end silver sports car screeched to an abrupt, irritatingly fast stop right in front of her.
Jinian was thoroughly startled, halting in her tracks as she stared at the silver sports car barely a step away, lost in thought.
Soon, the car door opened and out stepped a girl – tall and curvaceous, with short permed curls reaching her neck. She wore a designer black-and-white striped dress paired with British-style boots, completing her look with sunglasses that gave off an imposing aura.
This was none other than the famous Su Jiang, the Young miss of the Su family!
Su Jiang removed her sunglasses, glanced back at Jinian without a word, and walked toward the school entrance with her bag.
Jinian also remained silent, taking one deliberate step forward before – BANG! – a loud noise echoed in the ears of everyone nearby.
Su Jiang’s footsteps halted at the sound, and she turned to march straight toward Jinian.
But Jinian had already made her escape.
On the silver sports car, there was a clearly visible, forcefully delivered kick mark.
Coincidentally, Jinian was also wearing British-style shoes that day – with their sharp, hard toes, one could imagine the impact of that kick.
Seeing both the kick mark and the retreating figure acting as if nothing had happened, Su Jiang felt her heart racing rapidly, her anger growing from faint irritation to nearly sky-high fury.
Nearby students witnessing this scene exchanged glances, none daring to speak up.
This Young miss Su had been notorious since high school for her terrible temper and wealthy background. Meanwhile, many had come to recognize the other beautiful student since the freshman orientation party. She seemed quite good-natured, so uninvolved classmates stayed well outside the potential conflict zone, with many quietly betting on Young miss Su to win.
“Stop right there!”
Jinian acted as if she hadn’t heard, continuing forward.
Su Jiang gritted her teeth and strode forward, grabbing Jinian’s shoulder.
Jinian turned around, raised an eyebrow, and smiled as if in excellent spirits: “Can I help you?”
“Was that intentional?” Su Jiang questioned with a raised brow.
“What?” Jinian mirrored the eyebrow raise, feigning confusion.
“That kick on my car – wasn’t that you?”
“Oh, that. Yes, it was. As for whether it was intentional, that depends on your interpretation.”
Su Jiang crossed her arms: “Apologize!”
“And why should I? I didn’t teach you how to park, yet you’re here lecturing me on how to walk?” Jinian remained smiling, creating a stark contrast to Su Jiang’s clenched teeth.
Hearing this, Su Jiang understood – this girl was definitely doing it on purpose.
“What? Looking for a fight?”
Jinian shrugged: “As a civilized person of the 21st century, of course not.”
So she was civilized, implying that whoever mentioned fighting was some primitive barbarian? Su Jiang realized every word this girl spoke carried hidden meanings.
She looked Jinian over: “What’s your name?”
Jinian glanced back at her before turning to walk inside: “My surname is Wen, and my given name is Civilized Person.”
Su Jiang’s face darkened slightly, yet he watched Jinian’s retreating figure with interest. Crossing his arms as he observed the departing girl, he mused that her News Department probably needed to recruit new members soon.
