No one dared to approach the twisted vehicle, all eyes fixed on the scene with dazed expressions.
About thirty seconds later, the red sports car with its crumpled front hood finally showed signs of movement.
Through the transparent windshield, a head could be seen lifting up. Then, the car door opened, revealing a slender, fair leg in white low-heeled shoes that stepped out first. Almost involuntarily, everyone’s gaze followed the leg upward.
Next emerged a figure in red, so vibrant it nearly blended with the sports car. As she fully exited the vehicle, her golden curls cascaded to her waist, swaying with her movements. Her face was so stunning that the previously tense crowd collectively held their breath.
This time, it was awe.
Seemingly unaware of the impact she had on those around her, she frowned and roughly pulled her bag out, yet the motion remained incredibly pleasing to the eye.
Her face was a softly contoured oval, with golden curls that shimmered like a Barbie doll’s. Her slightly lazy, cat-like eyes squinted against the sunlight, their long lashes visible even from a distance as she used her bag to shield her face from the sun.
She intended to leave but, as if unable to suppress her irritation, turned back. Her skirt fluttered in an elegant wave as she kicked the dented sports car with a loud “thump” before finally heading toward the school.
The security guard at the gate, whether still stunned by the earlier scene or for some other reason, watched the girl who had recklessly crashed her car without any reaction.
The owner of the other sports car had also stepped out at some point, his presence so commanding she couldn’t pretend not to notice. She halted, tilting her head to look at him, and then froze momentarily. Though she considered herself accustomed to handsome men, she suddenly realized she could still be captivated by a new face!
This one before her was overwhelmingly alluring, so dazzling she couldn’t tell if it was the sunlight or the boy himself that blinded her.
His golden hair gleamed with a halo in the sun, his features flawless. The tear mole beneath the corner of his eye added a touch of charm, yet despite this, there was no hint of effeminacy about him.
His blue eyes regarded her with an icy coldness, as if scrutinizing or accusing.
Jinian pondered internally whether she ought to apologize. After all, she had nearly collided with his car earlier.
Witnessing this, the surrounding students grew even more breathless.
Everyone knew this Young Master was not to be trifled with usually cold as ice, and no one dared provoke him casually. Seeing the tension between them now, they genuinely worried the beautiful girl might end up struck. After all, this Young Master had never shown chivalry toward any beauty.
Jinian merely watched him for a moment longer, withdrew her inner admiration, and turned to walk inside. An apology decidedly never came.
His brow furrowed almost imperceptibly, but he made no move either. Glancing sideways, his eyes swept over the deformed front hood of the car before looking ahead and stepping inside as well.
To emerge unscathed from such an accident truly, she was lucky.
Yet, the thought of the car accident made his heart tighten, the coldness in his eyes intensifying.
