Jinian and Qiao Yumo left the campus.
Just as they were about to get into Qiao Yumo’s car, they saw an extremely familiar red sports car pull up right at the school gate.
Jinian paused mid-step.
Having nearly collided with it once and ridden in it once, it was indeed quite familiar.
Yan Qingge in the car also spotted Jinian and Qiao Yumo, and like almost everyone else, was curious about their relationship.
Because Qiao Yumo was truly famous notoriously unapproachable.
Speaking of which, the current Young Master Yan could rival him in that regard, yet both had grown close to Jinian.
“How did you find me?” Jinian asked as soon as she got in the car. She had been very careful, so how had she been discovered so quickly?
“Saint Yi Academy’s School Forum.”
“Huh?” Jinian was puzzled.
“Take a look at the forum and you’ll understand.”
She reached for the tablet beside her and entered Saint Yi Academy’s School Forum.
But the moment she opened it, her peach-blossom eyes widened in surprise. Then she burst out laughing and leaned closer to Qiao Yumo. “Darling brother.”
Hearing her playful tone, Qiao Yumo frowned.
Jinian cleared her throat lightly and began reading the post aloud to him.
“Jinian, the only girl who can warm Qiao Yumo’s heart.”
“Bro, they’re saying you’re my sweetheart and that we’re a match made in heaven the classic ‘I cause trouble, you laugh’ kind. Hey, bro, should we follow the script and start dating?”
Her expression was serious, yet she was clearly joking.
Qiao Yumo glanced sideways at her. “I didn’t know you had a brother complex.”
In truth, the dynamic between Qiao Yumo and Jinian was exactly the “she causes trouble, he laughs” pattern, though Jinian herself seemed oblivious.
Not dwelling too much on the rumors about her and Qiao Yumo, she scrolled down and saw posts about her car accident at the school gate. She immediately understood Qiao Yumo must have seen these posts and realized she was at Saint Yi. After all, causing such a dramatic accident and walking away unscathed was a rare feat.
Having experienced this multiple times, Jinian wondered if she might have some superpower, always emerging unharmed in such situations. She just didn’t know if this luck would last a lifetime.
“Where are we going now?”
“Taking you out to have fun!”
“You’re not planning to send me away from C City after this, are you? You’re here I don’t want to go back.”
Qiao Yumo sighed helplessly. “Nian Nian, every time you sneak off driving like this, Mom and Dad worry.”
“Where I’m living now is very close to school. I walk every day. I don’t even have a car right now check my accounts if you don’t believe me. I really haven’t bought a car recently.”
Mom won’t be lonely with Dad around. She was very interested in C City now and didn’t want to leave.
“You really want to stay?”
Jinian nodded.
“Then call Mom and tell her yourself.”
Jinian’s lips twitched. “No way. If I call, she’ll pull out all the stops crying, making scenes, even threatening to hang herself just to make me come home. Brother, you talk to her. If you say you’ll keep an eye on me and stop me from driving, Mom won’t object.”
Jinian was usually showered with affection if she wanted the stars, she would never be given the moon instead. The only exception was driving; even if she resorted to tears, tantrums, or threats, it was absolutely out of the question.
Qiao Yumo reached out and ruffled Jinian’s long hair, sighing helplessly, “Letting you stay in C City I’m truly worried I might regret it one day.”
