Chapter 4: Su Mu
Saint Yi Academy has a high school division, but compared to the university division, the high school division clearly doesn’t receive as much attention.
Therefore, the welcome party is only for the freshmen of the university division.
As for Jinian, a senior in high school and not part of the university, the reason she was repeatedly ordered to attend the welcome party boils down to two words beautiful!
At 7:30, Nan Shao, dressed in a white casual suit, stood by a long table holding a glass of red wine, occasionally glancing toward the auditorium entrance with a constant frown.
Most of the freshmen and Student Union members from both schools had already arrived, yet none of the people he wanted to see had shown up.
He called over a Student Union member: “Have you called the four of them?”
“Yes.”
“What did they say?”
“Tong Shan just said it’s still early; Hua Hudie’s phone wasn’t answered; Su Jiang scolded the person who called; and Qiao Xin Er said she isn’t coming.”
Nan Shao gritted his teeth and downed the red wine in his hand in one gulp.
To some extent, he had anticipated this. When he found out these four had chosen Saint Yi University, he had looked into their backgrounds. Tong Shan only cares about money, so for her, this time would be better spent earning some. As for Su Jiang, a young miss from a wealthy family, she attends countless parties at her own home, so it’s understandable she has little interest in this kind of event. Qiao Xin Er he had carefully reviewed her profile and truly couldn’t figure out if there’s anything in this world she cares about. Even her boyfriend doesn’t seem to know if she has even the slightest bit of concern.
Among these four, Nan Shao had pinned all his hopes on Hua Hudie, as she has always been enthusiastic about socializing and is a girl who has been beautiful since childhood. He thought that as long as she showed up tonight, it would be enough. Who knew her phone wouldn’t even be answered?
“Keep calling.”
“Yes, President.”
Just as he finished giving the order, the entrance of the hall became lively.
Nan Shao looked over and immediately spotted Su Mu at the front the Student Union President of A University, regarded as a king in the eyes of many.
He walked in slowly, with gentler brows than the average young man, narrow eyes carrying a faint smile, a strong and handsome nose, and lips as beautiful as cherry blossoms. His features were like a painting, his smile radiant, and his slightly long grape-purple hair was stunningly beautiful, almost arrogantly so. He was like a masterpiece crafted by God in a good mood, so beautiful that people couldn’t help but keep their eyes on him.
Su Mu wore a military-style shirt with rolled-up sleeves and tassels hanging from both shoulders, paired with cropped light-colored checkered pants and black lace-up leather shoes. Standing at 186 cm, he had a commanding presence even in a crowd.
Not to mention at A University, even at C University, Su Mu’s admirers could circle the track several times. Su Mu is the type of guy who makes girls’ hearts flutter just from catching a glimpse of him out of the corner of their eyes.
No matter how proud Nan Shao is, he has to admit Su Mu’s charm.
Following Su Mu was the School Beauty of Saint Yi Academy, Wendy. Dressed in a peach-colored, low-cut backless evening gown, she held a glittering golden clutch, her hair elegantly upswept to reveal her graceful neck. Her fair, delicate skin complemented by the vibrant red made her radiate dazzling charm. Yet, despite her beauty, standing beside Su Mu, she hadn’t even managed to link arms with him.
Su Mu paused in front of Nan Shao, a slight curve gracing his lips, as if blossoms bloomed with his smile.
“President Nan, hello,” he spoke, his voice so gentle it could captivate anyone in an instant.
Nan Shao extended his hand as well, shaking Su Mu’s, his usually proud and aloof expression nowhere to be seen on his tense face.
“President Su, hello.”
