Ever since Qiao Yumo learned that Jinian had left home, although he didn’t know her exact whereabouts, he had a hunch she might come to City C. With foresight, he had already converted one of the rooms in his apartment into a bedroom for Jinian.

As it turned out, his intuition was correct, but Jinian was unwilling to live with him.

Now, due to her foot injury, the doctor advised Jinian to rest for a week, so she was naturally ordered to stay at Qiao Yumo’s apartment.

Qiao Yumo lived in the Galaxy Bay Apartments, a high-end residential area considered the premier apartment complex in City C. The community boasted top-tier surroundings, excellent greenery, and strict management, with only three apartment buildings, each 31 stories high.

Qiao Yumo’s apartment was on the seventh floor a floor number Jinian favored as an odd number.

Even when he knew Jinian wasn’t around, Qiao Yumo seemed accustomed to prioritizing her preferences in everything.

Jinian’s room was decorated entirely according to her tastes, complete with a large walk-in closet already filled with various dresses and shoes…

At first glance, Jinian felt embarrassed; this single room was far better than the entire apartment she currently lived in.

“The doctor said you need to rest for at least a week, so you’ll stay here until your foot heals.”

Jinian nodded. “Brother, remember to ask for leave for me.”

“Mm.”

And so, Jinian settled comfortably into Qiao Yumo’s apartment.

Unbeknownst to her, that one shot had already propelled her into the spotlight as a notable figure at Saint Yi Academy. Her sudden disappearance left all her classmates bewildered.

To others, Jinian had appeared out of nowhere.

That afternoon, a blindingly red sports car had delivered a fairy-like beauty into the sight of all Saint Yi Academy students. She had arrived at school a week late, and after only a few days, she suddenly vanished like an elf who had accidentally stumbled into their world and left when the time was up.

Even more strangely, the teachers seemed unaware of her whereabouts. In every class, the instructor would ask, “Where is Student Jinian?”

Yet, no one could provide an answer.

Even Nan Shao found it incredibly puzzling.

He wondered if it was because both he and the PE teacher had pressured her, leading her to leave the school quietly. But he also felt it was unlikely; at least, whenever he discussed joining the Student Union with her, she hadn’t strongly opposed it, only stating that he hadn’t fully met her conditions.

Could it be that she felt caught between him and the PE teacher, finding it difficult?

With that thought, he immediately dismissed it again that was even less probable. That girl didn’t seem like the type to suffer in silence or force herself into discomfort.

As he pondered this and walked forward, he spotted Yan Qingge ahead and instantly frowned.

“The junior’s gone, and you’re still unwilling to join the Student Union?”

Yan Qingge glanced sideways at him. “Since she’s not here, why insist on me joining the Student Union?”

“What? Are you saying if she were here, you’d be willing?” Nan Shao raised an eyebrow.

“I didn’t say that.” However, Yan Qingge didn’t believe that Jinian had truly transferred away without a word.

“Ah, the junior really left. I was thinking of taking her to the Student Union to have some fun.” As the two were speaking, a boy with his hands clasped behind his head strolled leisurely outside, a leaf dangling from his lips, his expression tinged with regret.

Finally back from the middle of nowhere. If fate allows, we’ll meet again in the second part of high school.
