Nan Shao heard this and glanced sideways, spotting Feng Zun.
“Since when do you need her permission to join the Student Union? Feng Zun, when did you become so indecisive?”
Feng Zun looked at Nan Shao and raised an eyebrow. “President Nan, don’t you think your Student Union is just too boring to attract anyone?”
At these words, Nan Bei’s face darkened. He’d always known Feng Zun was no good guy.
“But even if the junior girl isn’t here, I could still join as long as President Nan can get Young Master Yan into the Student Union.”
Yan Qingge frowned upon hearing Feng Zun’s words. He studied him, as if weighing the truth behind them, before finally speaking. “It seems you really like that junior girl a lot. Even when she’s not around, you’re still looking out for her.”
Aside from Jinian, he couldn’t think of any other reason Feng Zun would base his decision on his own.
Feng Zun smiled carelessly, completely unfazed by Yan Qingge’s remark.
Nan Shao also scrutinized Feng Zun for a moment. “Is it really because of the junior girl, or do you have some ulterior motive toward Young Master Yan?” He paused, then continued, “Speaking of which, you hold the title of school heartthrob, but it seems you’ve never had a girlfriend, right?”
Both Feng Zun and Nan Shao were third-year students one had been Saint Yi Academy’s heartthrob for three consecutive years, the other its Student Union president for three years.
Hearing Nan Shao’s deliberately provocative question, both Feng Zun and Young Master Yan were visibly taken aback.
Yan Qingge knew full well that Nan Shao was being intentional, but he didn’t mind. Shoving his hands into his pockets, he turned to leave, saying, “You’d better not entertain such thoughts. I don’t like men.”
As Yan Qingge walked away, Feng Zun’s mischievous voice trailed after him. “I heard Young Master Yan has a girl he really likes in City A. Our junior Jinian is so beautiful are you afraid that joining the Student Union will make you fall for her and betray that girl in City A?”
The fact that Young Master Yan had someone he loved wasn’t exactly a secret, but the depth of his feelings and what had become of the girl remained unknown. In short, everyone’s understanding of Young Master Yan’s affection was vague and fragmented.
So, Feng Zun hadn’t meant to touch a nerve but how could he have known that Young Master Yan was actually someone who loved but couldn’t have?
“Feng Zun, I don’t want to hear certain things a second time. If you insist on bringing them up, I won’t hesitate to teach you a lesson.” His tone was cold and hard, leaving no doubt about the threat.
Feng Zun remained as nonchalant as ever, slinging an arm over Nan Shao’s shoulder as he watched Yan Qinggo’s retreating figure. “President Nan, this kid actually threatened me. Does he not know I’m his senior?”
If a mere senior could intimidate Young Master Yan, then he wouldn’t be Young Master Yan.
But in response to Feng Zun’s deliberate question, Nan Shao didn’t answer. Instead, he shrugged Feng Zun’s arm off his shoulder.
Nan Shao, already the shortest in their group, hated it when Feng Zun pulled stunts like this.
Nan Shao left as well, but not without a final warning: “If you’ve offended Yan Qingge so much that he refuses to join the Student Union, you’ll be held fully responsible.”
“Take responsibility for you? But like Young Master Yan, I don’t like men either.” Hearing Nan Shao’s words, Feng Zun drawled out his response.
A smile spread across his face. Why did he feel this school was becoming more and more interesting?
Could it be because of that junior female student?
